The uses of our school library

What are the uses of our school library?

>Our  school library contains a wide variety of fiction and non- fiction books.

>The books may be a big source of research for pupils and teachers.Reading  books may improve in our vocabulary too.

>Our school library gives a good place to go if you want quiet,because the library would not have as much noise as in a market.

>Some non-fiction books that our school library has are more reliable than the information we find on the internet.

>Some pupils or teachers does not have internet access or printer at home so they can use the laptops or printers in our school library.

>If you want to buy a book but you find it expensive,you could go to our school library to borrow the book instead and it would not cost you any money.

Simple steps to a Wonderful Library

Here are the few things you can do to make our school library a wonderful library.

1->When using the laptops in the library, be sure to lower down the volume

so that you would not disturb other library users.

2->Do not leave the books on the tables after reading them. Put them back on the shelves.

3->Maintain silence in the library.

4->Do not vandalise the library books.

5-> Return the library books on time.

Follow these steps and we have a wonderful library!

My Trip To The Nearest Library

Last Monday, I went to the public library located at Hougang Mall.

I went together with my sisters.

I noticed that the public library was quiter than our school library.

It was well orgainized.

It was also much more cleaner and it also had a very nice smell.

Last week, we also went to the Ang Mo Kio public library.

It was SOOO VERY TOTALLY BIG and WIDE enough to have a two-floor FULL

of books and book shelves

If only our school library was like that big, it would have a wide selection of choice for the students to choose!

It's time for me to sign out.

Recently,I wanted to revise the LIBRARY RULES!!!

So ...  1.maintain slient at all times.
           2.put books backs to their original places
           3.if you see any mis-placed books, put the books backs to their original places
              That's all for now!!!

The use of printers and loaning of laptops in the school library

Do you know you can use the printers and laptops in the school library?If you do not have a printer at home,you can use the printer in the library but you need to have permission to use it.Per piece of paper will only cost you ten cents.You can only use the printer on Wednesday.For loaning of laptops to do your project or other homework,you still need to have permission to use it but you need to take a 'contract ' first.Loaning of laptops is only for those students who does not have internet access and for those who does not have a computer at home.

Online Publication Committee

Today marks the birth of our Online Publication Committee. The committee is made up of the following pupil librarians.

We are pleased to have Mdm Islina and Mdm Toh as advisors.
